Writers on the Air gear up for St. Paddy’s Day

Writers on the Air, Linda Wright and Emma Alberts, celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by reading the book of poems, “A Traveler’s Journey,” written by our Irish station manager, R. J. Malloy. Writers.on the Air was R. J’s idea, and we are appreciative for all he has done for us. Linda also read her selection of poems. She pays special attention to the Civil War era. Emma read from her book, “Clannad,” a fictional account about a USA election and intrigue, Presidential candidate Malone is backed by an American wing of the IRA called Clannad. Available on Amazon.
Andrew Kirby recited poems and read his unique and eerie story, “Merlin’s Song.” Linda Schell is still in l958 cold war St. Petersburg, Russia with her protagonists, Gracie, a dwarf kangaroo from the Thirty-sixth Universe and her steadfast companion, Gibson, a hairy black Maine coon cat. Her fantasy/adventure chapter books are available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle.
Roslyn Schindler read her delightful and colorfully illustrated pre-school children’s book, “A Man in the Moon.” available on Amazon.
Dobie Pasco tickled our insides with his crisp, stream-lined poems. He reminded us about the 5th Annual Shout Out at the Bay Poetry Slam at the Black Box Theater this Tuesday at the Lemon Bay High School 6:30 p.m. FREE ADMISSION. FOR INFORMATION CALL 941–474-7702.
