Writers on the Air Participants: Linda Wright, Dobie Pasco, Andrew Kirby, Linda Schell
Linda Wright: Host this week.
April is Poetry Month. “Writers on the Air” is formerly inviting the students who participated in the Lemon Bay High School “Shout Out At The Bay” to celebrate Poetry Month with us. The invitation is extended to all students and the public. Today the clocks changed, and before reading on the air Dobie teased us by stating, “I’ve lost my watch.” If we hadn’t changed our clocks yet, Dobie’s alert was all we needed. Dobie read his poems from the poets of the North Port Poetry workshop book, “Weavers of Words.”
Linda Wright read her delightful fantasy poem story, “The Kingdom of Zaulte Zoder”, and “P’s and R’s.” She finished with a haunting poem inspired by a true event about a whale that had swam close to shore and was staring out at the humans on land. Linda is the master of the tongue twister.
Andrew Kirby mesmerized us with his “Merlin and the Musketeers.” Andrew likes to write about genies.
Linda Schell has everyone floating in the Supreme Delta State along with her protagonist Gracie to St. Petersburg’s Kresty Prison to find a way to rescue a young college student incarcerated by a crooked St. Petersburg scam
